KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. PT Mandiri Utama Finance (MUF) posted a slight increase in non-performing financing (NPF).
Mandiri Utama Finance CEO Stanley Setia Atmadja said, as of April 2023 Mandiri Utama Finance’s NPF reached 1.16%, an increase of 0.94% from the position in March 2023.
“The increase is due to the very limited number of working days in April 2023 along with the fairly long Eid holiday,” he said in a written statement to Kontan.co.id, Wednesday (7/6).

Stanley said that along with the increase in the NPF, collateral unit withdrawals also increased. Until April 2023, auctions have been held for 3,521 motorbikes and 1,666 cars.
However, he continued, Mandiri Utama Finance has prepared a strategy to maintain the NPF ratio so that it remains good. Stanley also revealed that the NPF target this year could reach 1%
“With several strong and disciplined collection steps, starting from pre-delinquency (reminder, desk call), expanding channels and installment payment methods, to handling receivables and delinquent customers starting from persuasion to withdrawing collateral units,” he added.
In industry, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) recorded that the multi-finance NPF ratio reached 2.47% as of April 2023, up slightly from the position in March 2023 of 2.37%.
